6 Books I’ve Pre-Ordered for 2026

It’s hard, as a librarian, to think about book timelines accurately. I’m always reviewing upcoming releases, trying to order new releases, staring at backlist titles on my own bookshelves, and somehow dreaming of books that haven’t even been written yet. Here are 6 books I’ve pre-ordered that are being published in the next six months, with the hope that putting this into writing helps me solidify the fact that I will have read all these books by the time school starts back in mid-August.

The Romance Revival

I will read anything Christina Lauren writes, and always look forward to their new books! This’ll be a great summer read, that I’m hopefully going to read relaxing somewhere warm and sunny.

Dragon Masters 31 & 32

One of my 2026 goals is to catch-up on the Dragon Masters chapter books, after starting them last year. Currently I am on book 22 of 30, but two more books come out this year, so I’ve pre-ordered them to read and then add to my school library.

Dawn on the Coast (BSC #18)

I’ll “grow out” of reading the new Baby-Sitters Club graphic novels when they stop publishing them, okay? Cannot wait to read this one and then add it to my school library.

The Arcane Arts

Anything Dana Schwartz writes I’ll read, and a dark academia book on top of that? Sign me up. This co-written book promises to be a great read, and I cannot wait to ignore my other tasks to dive into this one the second it arrives.

An Infinite Love Story

Chanel Cleeton is another author I’ve grown to love–her books are well done, but I also fly through them and think about them for days after, so when she announced she had a historical fiction space-related book, I knew I needed to get my hands on it. Cannot wait to read this as summer arcs towards the end.
