Being a librarian and book reviewer has a LOT of perks—chief amongst them, perhaps, the early access to upcoming releases. And boy, are some of these upcoming releases exciting for me and my personal reading tastes.
Here are five ARCs that I’ve got waiting and screaming my name in my Kindle that I hope to get too before they publish this year!

Big Time by Laura Vanderkam–May 5, 2026
Vanderkam is my go to guru on time management and productivity, and I always look forward to her books! I want to read this one ASAP (but don’t have the time, LOL!) but I also LOVE the audiobooks usually, so if I don’t read this ARC in the next month, I’ll prioritize the audiobook before the end of the school year.
The Arcane Arts by S.D. Coverly–May 19, 2026
I actually just finished this one but I’m including it anyway because this dark academia romance with some BDSM magic and a lot of scholastic thinking was AMAZING, a five star read, and I think everyone else should pre-order it now.
Ungodly Rich by Katherine McGe–July 7, 2026
I LOVE Katherine McGee’s books–I’ve read and own all of them–and when I saw her announce a mythology-based book I knew I needed to have it. Will I get to it before July? Fingers crossed–her books are ones I read in one sitting usually.
The Romance Revival by Christina Lauren–July 14, 2026
I love Christina Lauren’s rom-coms, and they’re so readable, so let’s hope I get to dive into this one before it releases. It’s screaming “read me by the pool”
Hollow Bones by Jodi Picoult–September 22, 2026
Growing up, Jodi Picoult was an author my mom and grandma and I loved to read together, and I always pre-ordered her books and went to author signings if she had them in DC, but I completely missed her last book, the Shakespeare-ish one, so I really need to recommit to her with this one, which is set in the aftermath of 9/11.
