A Book Set in Every State

As someone who reads a lot of literary fiction, I feel like every novel is set in New York City or California, unless you count Nicholas Sparks who sets all of his books in North Carolina, or Jodi Picoult, who dabbles in New England. There sure are a lot of flyover states that don’t scream NOVEL SETTING, but as you’ll see with this list, some big name books have been set in every state, you just may not have realized it.

I’m surprised you didn’t go with The Secret History for Vermont, lol! That’s usually the one I see on lists like this. But I have read House Rules a million years ago and I think I liked it!
