Physical Books Read: 6

Audiobooks Listened To: 6

  • An American Marriage
  • The Last Black Unicorn
  • No Good Deed
  • Remains of the Day
  • Nabokov’s Favorite Word is Mauve
  • Autoboygraphy

Favorite Book: From a literary standpoint, as in one I would recommend to my friends and family and you all, An American Marriage is outstanding. The narration of the audiobook was great and it’s a really moving story. But honestly, the best book I read this month was The Woman in the Window. I flew through that book and I literally screamed out loud at one point. So good.

Least Favorite Book: I didn’t HATE any of the books I read this month, but if I had to pick my least favorite for some reason, it would be Tiffany Haddish’s The Last Black Unicorn. She’s hilarious, and her self-narration was awesome, but I felt the book lacked substance about her career that I was hoping a memoir of an up and coming star woud have.

Book of the Month Club Pick: The Last Equation of Isaac Severey (An adult westing game!) and Sourdough by Robin Sloan.

April TBR: lots and lots of ARCS for April and May releases, including

  • Heads of the Colored People
  • After Anna
  • You Think It, I’ll Say It
  • Love and War
  • Royals
  • From Twinkle, With Love
  • Tradition
  • Fatal Throne
  • Sorority

And some books that are already on sale, including

  • Small Admissions
