Narrators can make or break an audiobook. If they speak too quickly or just don’t fit the character, I immediately delete the audiobook. Some voices just don’t sit well in my ears. But sometimes, there are narrators I fall in love with and seek out new novels I’ve never heard of just to spend more time with their voices. And then there are celebrity readers, the stars of screen and stage who lend their voices to classic novels or new favorites and you can’t wait to dive in. Check out these ten audiobook novels with celebrity narrators.
To Kill a Mockingbird narrated by Sissy Spacek
Go Set a Watchman narrated by Reese Witherspoon
The Bad Beginning narrated by Tim Curry
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe narrated by Lin Manuel Miranda
Murder on the Orient Express narrated by Dan Stevens
Leviathan narrated by Alan Cumming
Octopussy and the Living Daylights narrated by Tom Hiddleston
The Angel Experiment narrated by Evan Rachel Wood
The Snow Queen narrated by Claire Danes
Laura Lamont’s Life in Pictures narrated by Molly Ringwald
Have you read any novels narrated by celebrities? Do you like them? I love when celebrities narrate their own memoirs but with novels, it is hit or miss. For example, I hated Colin Farrell’s narration in A Home at the End of the World but I love Reese Witherspoon’s narration.
Love this post! Can’t wait to check these out, thank you for the recommendations 🙂

Great article! I had no idea so many were involved in voicing audio books. That’s super cool. I have never listen to an audio book vs. reading a book, but mostly because I get distracted easily and probably wouldn’t have the focus of listening rather than to reading, LoL.
