16 Books With 1 Million Goodreads Ratings

One of the 2019 PopSugar Reading Challenges is a book with over a million Goodreads ratings, and even making this list was a lot harder than I anticipated. I’m still not sure how I’m going to fill it since I’ve read pretty much every book on this list. What books do you suggest that have over a million ratings?

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn– 1,863,988 ratings

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling– 5,622,603 ratings

1984 by George Orwell–2,434,116 ratings

The Hobbitt by JRR Tolkein–2,430,972 ratings

The Help by Kathryn Stockett–1,800,964 ratings

Eragon by Christopher Paolini– 1,245,266 ratings

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee–3,752,702 ratings

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini--2,129,088 ratings

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan–1,607,115 ratings

Life of Pi by Yann Martel–1,117,983 ratings

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins–1,660,272 ratings

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green–2,972,620 ratings

Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger–2,393,854 ratings

Not many surprises to this list, to tell the truth. And when I look at the list on Goodreads, I also see that there aren’t all that many that I even want to read that I haven’t read already! Good luck with this challenge, but I’ll watch from the sidelines!
