This is going to be a weird month for books. Some books are being pushed back, others are just not getting the fanfare they deserve, and ordering books is getting complicated. E-books have never been more powerful.
That being said, I’m excited to see how this month plays out in the book world and to celebrate some of the books coming out this month. The author of Sex and the City has a new YA book out. Congressman Dan Crenshaw’s nonfiction memoir-esque book is finally out, after numerous title changes. There’s a new Check, Please book and a third Aru Shah book, and a lot of stand-alones I’m excited to read–especially Best Laid Plans. We need more healthy, sex-positive YA, and as an adult who still reads YA occasionally, I’m super excited for it. I’m also excited to read the Colin Jost book (A Very Punchable Face) and Rick, the new book by Alex Gino.
