May Reading Roundup

Wow, what a month! It seemed to FLY by and now we’re headed into June. I’m officially going back to work in June–a few days a week–though I was working our reference chat for the past two months as well. Anyway, I got a LOT of reading done this month that I feel really good about, but I also kept discovering NEW books I wanted to read which is very, very stressful…

Alright…here’s what I read this month

  • Beach Read (BOTM)
  • Cleopatra: I am Fire and Air (audio)
  • Rodham (ARC)
  • Avalon High
  • The Octopus Museums: Poems
  • Party of Two (ARC)
  • The Midwife’s Apprentice
  • You Never Forget Your First (audio)
  • The Whisper Man
  • The Path Made Clear (audio)
  • Jo: An Adaptation of Little Women (Sort Of) (ARC)
  • In a Holidaze (ARC)
  • Flip Flops & Microwaved Fish
  • You Go First (audio)
  • You’re Not Enough (And That’s Okay) (ARC)
  • Good Girl, Bad Blood
  • Fates and Furies
  • Interpreter of Maladies (DAR Book Club)
  • Girl Logic (audio)
  • Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
  • Kira-Kira (audio)
  • Girl Woman Human Soul (poetry)
  • Criss Cross
  • Mexican Gothic (ARC)
  • A Year Down Yonder (audio)
  • Fountains of Silence (BOTM)
  • Of Curses and Kisses
  • A Tale of Two Cities
  • Most Likely (FFL Book Club)
  • Book of Two Ways (ARC)

I actually read some BOTM books this month! I’m hoping to read even more next month, do some pre-planning for the FFL book club, and also finish my Newbery winner reading now that I can get back to the library.

I’ve got about 25 books on my TBR list for June, including a few ARCs of books coming out in July (Heir Affair, One to Watch, The Shadows, Very Punchable Face) as well as some of my past BOTM picks (Prep, Happy and You Know It, November Road, Spinning Silver, etc).  I  think my “unread classic” of the month is going to be Love in the Time of Cholera. It’ll be interesting to see how this all goes now that the world is starting again….

What did you read in May?
