Wow, another month has gone by….huh. June came and went quickly, didn’t it? I made a good list for my TBR this week, and I kind of kept to it, but I changed some things around a lot and I feel like I got “stuck” on books a few times…but now it’s over and on to July as the “oh god September is going” TBR piles continue to pile up!!
I continue to abide by my rule of “no checking out physical books from the library” until I get my life under control. Seriously, I have SO many books on my shelves, I’m always ordering more, and I’m always picking up new books from the Little Free Library near me house, so I really don’t need to get any library books either. Please continue to hold me accountable, haha!
I’m hovering above 80% on Netgalley, which is great, but I still have about 9 books to read…some coming out in July, some in August, and some in November so….I’ll get to that soon haha. You’ll see below what I’ve got planned to read in July!
I’m also still working through the “Read the past 20 years of Newbery” challenge I gave myself in…March…but I’ve only got a couple left and it’s a nice little treat between “heavy” and “adult’ books. I still get to read Holes soon!
Alright, let’s get into it…here’s what I read in June 2020:
- Prep (BOTM)
- Dare to Fly (FFL Book Club)
- One to Watch (ARC)
- A Single Shard (Newbery Winner)
- My Calamity Jane
- A Very Punchable Face (ARC)
- Tale of Despereaux (Newbery Winner)
- Joy at Work (audio)
- The Swap (ARC)
- Ship It
- Spinning Silver (BOTM)
- The Okay Witch
- Indecent
- The Last Flight (BOTM)
- Out of the Dust (Newbery Winner) (audio)
- Happy and You Know It (BOTM)
- The Shadows (ARC)
- An Education in Ruin (ARC)
- Grown (ARC)
- Hawk (ARC)
- Closer to Nowhere (ARC)
- More to the Story
- Mrs Dalloway (Unread Classic)
- Once More Upon a Time (audio)
- November Road (BOTM)
So what’s up in July? More ARCs, because I swear they never end. And yes, I know it’s my own fault haha.
I’m hoping to get another “unread classic” in in July and not at the end of the month, LOL. I’ll probably do Love in the Time of Cholera if I get around to it early, or The Hobbit if I put it off until the end of the month like I did in June. Oops.
Here’s what else I’m hoping to read in July:
- Kind of a Big Deal
- House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City)
- You Are Not Alone
- Crispin: Cross of Lead
- Holes
- The Madwoman and The Roomba
- The Heir Affair
- The Voting Booth
- Baby-Sitter’s Little Sister #2
- Beautifully Foolish Endeavor
- Good Neighborhood
- Miss Meteor
- They Wish They Were Us
- Love at First Fight
- Daughter of the Heartland
Shoo…I’ve got my work cut out for me.
