July Reading Recap

Another month, another stack of books off my mind while even more loom ahead.

My netgalley ratio is around 90% right now, which is INSANE. I”M STILL working through my “Read the Newbery winners since 95 challenge” and now considering if I even want to read those final 3 books…oops.  I also didn’t read a classic this month because I just didn’t feel like it.

Alright, without further ado, here is what I read in July 2020:

  • The Magic Fish (ARC) (graphic novel)
  • The Voting Booth (ARC)
  • You Are Not Alone
  • The Heir Affair (ARC)
  • Karen’s Roller Skates (graphic novel)
  • Daughter of the Heartland
  • Invincible Louisa
  • The Royal Art of Poison (audio)
  • A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor
  • They Wish They Were Us (ARC)
  • Normal People
  • The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society (DAR Book Club)
  • Miss Meteor (ARC)
  • The Madwoman and the Roomba
  • Cleo McDougal Regrets Nothing
  • The Answer Is..
  • A Good Neighborhood

Wow…only 17 books. I’m kind of disappointed in myself, but I was sick this month (not COVID, lol) and some of them were really long (The Heir Affair…) but I have high hopes for August, including a few upcoming FFL book club picks, Why We Marched for DAR book club, a few older BOTM books, and an ARC or seven of course. Oh, and Midnight Sun!

17 books is HUGE for me. I’m lucky if I get through 4 a month.
