Let’s talk August, shall we? Always a weird publishing month–some great books, a lot of wait-and-see to September books, etc etc. This month, there are few books I’m excited to recommend, including A Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee. It’s the Secret History-lesbian-boarding-school-witch-book of my dreams. Once There Were Wolves is a haunting conservation-based murder mystery. Seeing Ghosts is an excellent cross-cultural memoir on death and grief. All’s Well is a frantic what-the-heck pill induced haze for theatre lovers.
I HAVEN’T had a chance to read a LOT of books this month YET, but I’m excited for Agatha Christie: First Lady of Crime, One Kid’s Trash, Fresh, How We Fall Apart, and A Slow Fire Burning most of all. I’ll get to those…eventually, I hope.
What are you looking forward to reading this month?
