5 Books I’m Excited for in May 2023

Is it almost impossible to narrow this down to JUST 5 May 2023 titles I’m excited about? Yes, but I’m going to try!

True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren

Truly cannot get enough of this dynamic writing duo! While I got an e-ARC of this, I haven’t had time to dive into it, so my library hold is super important. I am doing so much heavy literacy reading, and a lot of picture books, so I REALLY need a romance break. If this one comes in in time, I may take it to NYC for vacation!

Leave it to the March Sisters by Annie Sereno

Somehow, this one missed by radar until the beginning of May, but I smashed that pre-order button hard! I collect editions of Little Women, AND adaptations, and seeing that this is an adult rom-com with AMY as the protagonist? A double whammy in its favor!

The One and Only Ruby by Katherine Applegate

I need a good cry soon, right? This series YANKS my heart-strings, and I’m ready to cry again! Give me Ruby’s story–it’s always definitely a quicker read, so I can’t wait to mainline it.

Four Eyes by Rex Ogle

My hold on this has already come in and I’m going to pick it up ASAP! I loved Ogle’s other work, and have been trying to supplement my Carnegie reading with good graphic novels this month to keep me sane.

Surprisingly Sarah by Terri Libenson

Another one I’ve already got a hold on! I love Libenson’s style in these, and can’t wait to see how this story unfolds.
