Most of the fiction writing classes I’ve taken in college have centered around short stories, because it’s hard to write a good, complete novel in one semester, and I’ve grown to love short stories and certain authors’ collections of them, so I’ve put together this great list of short story collections. If you love a novelist, check out their short stories! This list includes some big names in literary fiction, some popular YA authors, and some authors you’ve likely never heard of, but whom you should check out nonetheless.
